Dennis Rodman admits to going to a bar in Newport Beach, CA but tells TMZ Sports that it was a mistake a is attending his AA meetings again with hopes to get sober.
Rodman was arrested for a DUI in January and has opened about his struggles with alcohol addiction in the past. The former NBA superstar honestly said he stopped attending his AA meetings because they’re boring. “It’s a long process and it’s gonna take time to get over the hump,” Rodman says.
Fortunately once he started drinking again he contacted his agent, Darren Prince,who also suffered with substance abuse, and his AA sponsor for help. “Dennis is the king of rebounds and he’ll rebound from this too,” Prince said.
Rodman says that the meetings are helping and he already feels like he’s making progress.
Dennis Rodman went to rehab in 2014 and was featured on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” back in 2010.
