Nicki Minaj had the Internet in a frenzy ever since going public with her new boyfriend Kenneth Petty, who is also a registered sex offender who was convicted of rape.
TMZ reports that 36-year-old’s relationship with Petty began when she was 16 years old and that was one of her first loves. She has been low-key flaunting him for some time now but made it social media official ever since her birthday getaway this past weekend.
Nicki is aware of his past and is confident that he has matured since his time in New York State prison in the 1990s. The “Chun-Li” rapper stepped into The Shade Room to address accusations on her new bae. “Wait y’all calling this man a rapist but it happened in 1994, meaning he was 16 or 17 & the girl was 16 … she was probably white or something,” a roommate wrote. Nicki Minaj responded, “he was 15, she was 16… in a relationship. But go awf Internet. y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”
