Both artists have had commercial success and can spit so they are evenly matched. But why are J.Cole or Big Sean not in this conversation?
Another rapper that has been at the top is Meek Mill. The Philly MC is celebrating his new album Championships hitting the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This album is Meek’s first since his release from prison in 2017. He sold 229,000 equivalent album units according to Billboard. 42,000 of those were physical sales, which helped him secure the top spot. Championships is Meek’s second number one album of his career following 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money.
It has been a whole month since Swizz Beatz dropped his latest album, Poison and now he released the visuals for his standout album cut with Nas. The two Hip-Hop vets came together for the “Echo”music video. It shows off Swizz’ love for art and Esco’s classic way with words. Overall the video is dope. It was filmed in a digital art museum – Mori Building in Tokyo.
