Maverick Carter is expanding his portfolio in a big way. Carter has been elected to Live Nation Entertainment’s Board of Directors, the company announced Wednesday.
As LeBron James’ longtime business manager, Carter has played a key role in the basketball superstar’s off-court ventures, from Hollywood roles to brand partnerships to the co-founding of three companies: SpringHill Entertainment, UNINTERRUPTED and The Robot Company, all three of which Carter heads as CEO.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me because I’ve long admired Live Nation’s industry-changing work and their talent-first approach to business,” said Carter on Thursday. He joins Jimmy Iovine, Ari Emanuel and Dana Walden on the board.
