Cardi B’s camp shut down all rumors that she will be performing during halftime at the Super Bowl next year.

The Bronx rapper’s camp issued a statement to Page Six saying that a firm deal was never on the table, and it would’ve been declined anyway because of Bardi’s support of Colin Kaepernick.

“The rumor circulating that she wants a million dollars and she wants her own set is false. There was never a firm offer to begin with for a performance,” the statement reads. “There [were] talks about it, but she was not particularly interested in participating because of how she feels about Colin Kaepernick and the whole movement.”

One take away from the statement was that she’s reuniting with Bruno Mars that same weekend for a performance.

“Again, there was never a solid offer for her to say yes or no to regarding the Super Bowl,” Cardi’s reps wrote. “She is already confirmed to do a set with Bruno Mars that weekend.”

It’s good to get confirmation that Cardi B will not be performing for the Super Bowl because the “I Like It” rapper once said that she wouldn’t work with the NFL until “they hire Colin Kaepernick back.”
