In a very sad story over this past weekend, DJ Speakerfoxx, who was very well known in the industry circle and an Atlanta celebrity, has passed away. The 35-year-old female DJ/producer was well-known for being the tour DJ for acts like Yelawolf, Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo and Rittz. Born Christen Nilan, was also admired for her production on her mixtapes Dopeboy Anthems and Dopegirl Anthems, which really launched her solo career. Nilan also made some serious noise on the scene with her collaborative project Girls In The Yard with Atlanta native BOSCO.

News of her death started circulating the net Saturday night and was later confirmed by her manager, Xan Lang. The full details of her death are unknown to the public and one can assume her family wants to keep it that way. Her friends described her as “The Queen of Atlanta” and that she always had an upbeat, positive attitude and she would go out of her way to make anyone coming to her city feel comfortable. Speakerfoxx touched a lot of peoples lives with warm regards to her friends and colleagues are making public are evident of that. BOSCO even tweeted out that there will be a memorial concert in Atlanta to honor her memory.
