Although it’s not exactly “white sneaker season” yet — we’ll save that talk once spring arrives! — Y-3 just debuted its new Super Takusan model that reimagines the classic adidas Superstar silhouette for those looking to switch things up a little.

The shell toe gets reworked this time around with a combination of leather, canvas and standout rubber paneling on the crisp white upper. The latter add-on has a ribbed effect to it, and comes in a contrasting off-white hue that blends in with the toe box and textured midsole. Brand founder Yohji Yamamoto puts his official stamp on the heel, with his name displayed across both shoes to make for a proper matching pair. While Uptowns, Slip-Ons and even Classic Leathers are each go-to options when you need some super squeaky kicks, it doesn’t hurt to take a break from the classics. It looks like the Three Stripes may have just provided another fresh addition to the mix.
