Although the recent Air Max 95 colorway that we saw last week is definitely a standout, Nike isn’t the only sneaker brand getting in on the Chinese New Year celebration. Longtime adidas collaborator Pharrell is dropping his own Year of the Pig offering with a special Crazy BYW drop.
Decked out in traditional Chinese red & yellow-gold hues, this iteration of the Three Stripes’ most recent silhouette to make waves in the sneaker community gives off a regal vibe from all angles. The theme this time around is “AMBITION,” which is seen embroidered down the forefoot of the silhouette’s Primeknit upper. The designed is balanced out with a crisp white BOOST heel, which does a good job at making the aforementioned lettering blend in with the eclectic pattern that takes over the majority of this specially-designed model. Even though the Year of the Pig doesn’t officially start for a whole month (February 5), we’re sure kick lovers from all ethnicities will welcomed these with open arms for a release at any time this or next month.
