Although his Kamikaze album, which finished as the fourth biggest selling album of the year, it accounted for only half of his total album sales in 2018, behind only Drake, Post Malone, and XXXTentacion. The album earned approximately 373,067 sales meaning that about 400,000 of his album units are due to his back catalog.
As reported by Buzz Angle Music, Em racked up more than 2.5 billion streams throughout last year. Of that amount, 760 million were for his new album. In the age of streaming, Em has proven that he is still a force to be reckoned with.
Even his battle songs sold extremely well. Em broke records on YouTube with his diss track of Machine Gun Kelly, entitled “Kill Shot.”
After 20 years in the game, Slim Shady is still one the top selling artists in the music industry. Not bad for a45-year-oldd.
