Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, has been in custody since August of last year due to a sexual assault allegation during the “Southern Rap Legends” concert in Louisiana in October 2016. Tyler may be allowed a few months of freedom before his May trial date for rape if he can sing to the tune of $3 million.

His new contract will demand that he releases three albums of unreleased Mystikal music, but after signing the dotted line, the advance could be just enough to have the “Shake Ya Ass” rapper free by next week.

Mystikal has pleaded not guilty to counts of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping.

Mystikal was released from prison in 2010 after serving six years for videotaping and raping his hairstylist.
