Wrestling fans haven’t seen Roman Reigns since he made the announcement he would be taking time off to battle leukemia. We got a fun update on one of his upcoming projects: joining the Fast and Furious cinematic universe with a role in his cousin Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming franchise spin-off Hobbs and Shaw.
Johnson shared a shot of himself and Reigns on set, showing them both, bare-chested and yelling. That’s pretty much how you’d imagine that professional wrestlers spend a lot of their time.
He captioned the photo: “The brothers’ roar.”
In a follow-up Instagram post of his own on Friday, Reigns thanked his new film family and noted that this whole process has helped him as he heals from the disease he’s currently battling outside of the ring.
Like his cousin, Reigns has the Hollywood look and could be destined to be a star in his own right. No time table to when he will return to the WWE.
If you’re looking forward to watching the movie, not to mention Reigns’ debut, it’s scheduled to be in cinemas on June 26.
