Shayla Stevens, the woman who was assaulted by Da Brat in an Atlanta nightclub back in 2007, claims that the So So Def femcee still owes her almost $8 million from the settlement.
Stevens alleges that Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, is hiding her assets and is asking a judge to dismiss Harris’ bid to file for bankruptcy.
Stevens suffered permanent scarring and neurological damage after being hit in the face with a bottle by Harris. Da Brat served three years and prison and was ordered to pay Stevens $6 million in 2014 and was threatened with more jail time if she did not pay up.

In August of 2018, Da Brat filed or Chapter 11 bankruptcy and Stevens has been fighting the settlement ever since.
