As the Lakers and Clippers square off on Thursday (January 31) in yet another bout for dominance over Los Angeles, Jordan Brand is already showing who they’re rooting for with a new Air Jordan 1 Mid colorway that LeBron, Lonzo and longtime Kobe fans will definitely get a kick out of.
Primarily featuring the signature Lakers yellow team color on the upper panels and sole, the shoe finds a way to incorporate the equally important Royal Purple hue in the laces and also on the Jumpman tongue logo and insole. Off white rounds out the base colorway up top, while black accents are used for the Swoosh side panel logo and in parts of the inner lining. Although the squad isn’t doing too well as far as stats in 2019 — they’ve lost 9 out of the 14 games played since the year began — we all recognize the Lakers as an iconic franchise that’s definitely deserving of a honorary pair of Js. We’re sure Lakers Nation will have no problem rocking these on any given day.
