If we know anything about the Fast & Furious franchise, cars will blow up, guns will be shot and you will be entertained. The spin-off series, Hobbs & Shaw, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham appears to keep the tradition rolling. The first trailer for the film has been released and features the Rock running down a building, cars sliding under semi trucks and Idris Elba as a bulletproof cyborg. Amazing, right?
Hobbs & Shaw brings the film’s frenemies together to take down a new foe as they are the two best hunters of anything on the planet, except when it comes to Dominic Toretto. The trailer shows that our heroes have to battle through a ton of obstacles and even get captured for a while. You also see that the film will have laughter built into the film, giving all the elements for a sure-fire summer blockbuster.
Recently it was revealed that WWE Superstar and cousin of Johnson, Roman Reigns, would make an appearance in the film, much to the delight of casual moviegoers and those who are fans of the grappler who have been keeping up on his battle with leukemia.
Hobbs & Shaw does not hit theaters until July but you can see all the things that will explode in the trailer below. Don’t let Tyrese know you watched it though.
