“Talent,” she swiftly answered. The crowd began cheering. “Sincerity, you know. The reason, the mission.”

The conversation switched to Chaka Khan’s friendship with Prince. The legendary singer went on to explain how the late singer influenced her song, “I Feel For You.”
She also spoke about her monthly voluntary visits to Skid Row. “I feel that’s why we’re on this planet, to be of assistance to one another.”
