Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan will be co-producing will be Sony Pictures adaption of A Journal For Jordan, which will be directed by Denzel Washington and written by Oscar-nominated writer Virgil Williams.
A Journal For Jordan is based on true events surrendering Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dana Canedy’s love story with First Sergeant Charles Monroe. The journal is a combination of letters to their son Jordan, prayers, and insight to his life overseas which was recorded just in case Monroe never made it home from his deployment in Iraq. A Journal For Jordan was to give her son an account of who Monroe was because Jordan never got a chance to meet his father. In addition to him being on the screen, Jordan is also slated to co-produce the film with Washington through his Outlier Society production. It’s obvious that Jordan definitely loves being behind the cameras too. Earlier this year in an Instagram post, Jordan shared a trailer for an upcoming show on OWN Network that he co-produced with Oprah Winfrey.
