The city of Portland is widely known for having some of America’s most progressive people as well as a lively art scene that fosters creative expression. For all of the creative accomplishments made in the Rose City, not much has been yielded in the urban music domain. This was the case until the emergence of singer-songwriter TYuS. Possessing vocals that harken back to the rugged R&B days of the mid-90s, TYuS is a standout among many of his peers that have a more alternative approach to their melodies.
Since releasing his debut project “Never Forget,” back in 2016 via Warner Bros., TYuS has made great strides musically and culturally by putting on for his city. Gaining widespread notoriety for his talents and comparisons, TYuS is primed and ready to capitalize on the momentum he has built for himself. Today, he unveils the official music video produced by David Ferguson for PortlandKid Publishing, titled, “How Far.” In the visual, TYuS has his eyes set on his love interest and intends on testing the limits.
