Designed by sneaker customizer Alexander-John, this GV Special iteration borrows many cues from the current storyline that introduced The Whisperers during the mid-season premiere. For those that need some catching up, The Whisperers are a truly psychopathic crew of humans who disguise themselves as zombies, completely donning the dead’s skin and imitating their illegible “whispering” tone. The shoe’s design specifically puts the group’s leader Alpha on the insole, and adds hand-painted dirt detailing on the rest of the silhouette that calls to mind the long path each character has journeyed on since the show debuted on Halloween back in 2010. Whether it gives you a case of the creeps or just brings out the inner creep in you, this is one collab that will get the loyal pack of TWD fans even more amped for the season finale that airs in two weeks.
