TheSource.com sat down with impacting independent artist JoshfromYNC. JoshfromYNC just got done filming with Jo Jo Simmons on WeTV for the Growing Up Hip Hop (New York Edition) It will air on WeTV in August.
TheSource.com: Give us some background info as to who you are.
JoshfromYNC: I’m a Hip Hop artist from a small town called Wheeling West Virginia.
TheSource.com: What is the philosophy behind your music and what is the message you want to convey ?
JoshfromYNC: My philosophy involves giving all my people hope. If you’re struggling, then just grind hard to get to where you need to be. Never give up!
TheSource.com: Who is your target market
JoshfromYNC: Honestly my music touches everyone even some people who don’t even listen to rap much. My music has universal appeal.
TheSource.com: What is your USP ? (unique selling proposition) and what sets you apart from other artists?
JoshfromYNC: My sound is what you hear right now and I can write to any topic; that’s what makes me different from everybody else .
TheSource.com: What single or project are you currently pushing ?
JoshfromYNC: I pushing my single “FLY” with Frenchie From Brick Squad produced by 808 mafia.
TheSource.com: Which artists have inspired you ?
JoshfromYNC: My influences are Lil Wayne , Drake , Trey Songz , Chris Brown and many more .
TheSource.com: Who does your production?
JoshfromYNC: I work with a lot of different people like Ice Starr , Jacob Lethal , Tee On The Beat , and now I have a single with 808 mafia.
TheSource.com: What is your opinion of the current state of the music industry?
JoshfromYNC: It needs to get better, because everyone sounds the same .
TheSource.com: If you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why ?
JoshfromYNC: Let’s get back to the real meaning of music and have the lyrics mean something that can touch the world .
TheSource.com: Are there any singers that you would like to collaborate with in the future ?
JoshfromYNC: I will like to work with Trey songz and Chris Brown.
TheSource.com: What producer would you like to collaborate with in the future?
JoshfromYNC: Mike will made it & DJ mustard are the two that I really want to collab with.
TheSource.com: What is your favorite part of your live show ? How has it evolved?
JoshfromYNC: My favorite part is coming up with a new idea every time to rock the crowd and get everyone jumping up and down .

JoshfromYNC: It will be unique, futuristic and versatile.
