Even though Earth Day comes around only once a year, everyday should essentially be a day to appreciate the environment we live, breath and literally walk on day in, day out. That’s why the next time you make a step into the world, Nike and famed artist Steve Harrington have a set of kicks to remind you of the amazing world we inhabit.
The Earth Day Collection features classic models from the vault, including the Air Force 1, Blazer Low, and Cortez, constructed from the Swoosh’s signature Flyleather material. Each opts for a crisp white colorway, interrupted only by Harrington’s colorful globe-themed artwork, icy outsoles on the AF1 and a green herringbone-style sole on the Blazer Low. Another familiar motif is the animated palm tree, which is featured on the medial ankle of all three silhouettes. The final spec that each pair has in common is the most important of course, as the entire pack was made completely with at least 50% recycled natural leather as the insole graphic denotes.
