Following recent news that he’ll be joining other reggae legends on the 2020 Love and Harmony Cruise, Buju Banton is now jumping into the world of apparel with his official clothing brand called Everything BB.
The label is launching with a “Long Walk to Freedom” collection, named after the GRAMMY-winning dancehall icon’s current tour that even has Rihanna flying back to Barbados to check it out. The set of T-shirts are his way of showing respect to Africa, in addition to the notions of freedom and liberation. As many fans are aware, Buju was released from prison in December 2018 after serving a seven-year bid, and this recent second chance at life and a new career is nothing short of a miracle. His message that redemption can happen at any point in life resonates heavy through the seams of this apparel offering, and with more on the way (including Everything BB Activewear) it’s looking like Buju has opened up a new path in his longstanding career that includes hits like 1995’s “Champion” and his classic 1997 riddim “Up Close & Personal.” Salute, king!
