If you are a resident of New York City you will be able to get the first glimpse of the collaboration of evian and Virgil Abloh in the United States. On May 9, the evian Drip Drop event will take over downtown NYC to celebrate the launch of Abloh’s limited-edition water bottle with the brand.
evian announced the bottle will hit the U.S. after originally being only available overseas. The bottle is a rainbow-inspired 750ml and made of glass. The Drip Drop launch event will allow attendees to get one of the limited-edition bottles for free. At the event, there will also be the opportunity to win exclusive prizes such as the shatter-resistant, evian Soma by Virgil Abloh refillable bottle or the ultra-collectible limited-edition 750ml evian bottle signed by Virgil. Both items are a part of the “One Drop can make a Rainbow” collection.
“The notion that one drop of water can create a rainbow served as the inspiration and metaphor to drive my first project as evian’s Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design,” stated Abloh. “As light refracts through that droplet, it reveals its full polychromatic potential. We don’t see just water, we see infinite possibilities and inspiration for anyone. Everyone.”
If you are unable to make it to New York City, the rainbow bottle will be available in limited quantities at select taels and restaurants listed on the evian U.S. website. If you can get to The Big Apple, the event will be on May 9 from 12-4pm ET at 393 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.
