State of the Culture host Remy Ma surrendered to authorities on Wednesday (May 1) for a misdemeanor assault charge.
TMZ reports the personality and rapper’s misdemeanor assault charge is in connection to her Love and Hip-Hop co-star Brittney Taylor. Late last month, Taylor alleges Remy punched her backstage at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert that was held at Irving Plaza after a heated confrontation. The concert was held on April 16.
Taylor originally let the incident become public on social media, however, TMZ reports she also was preparing a civil suit by collecting evidence, which included surveillance footage.
Remy’s bail was set at $1,500, which she posted. Remy’s attorney, Dawn Florio, maintains her innocence stating the time Taylor suggests the attack happened, Remy was at home. You can see the video of Remy’s release below. We will provide updates as they are available.
