Operating as a “legal fake” alternative to James Jebbia’s OG skatewear brand we’ve known and loved since 1994, the new Supreme Italia store is completely decked out with all the amenities — a half pipe, skate decks adorning the walls, unique light fixtures and graffiti-style pop art at every corner of the shop all included. Of course, the real issue at play here is the use of Supreme’s classic Box Logo in Futura Heavy Oblique font, which is seen everywhere throughout the store and prominently at the front via a huge illuminating sign at the entrance. As it’s been previously reported, IBF — the official owner of Supreme Italia and its sister brand Supreme Spain — found a loophole in the legal system after the real Supreme failed to acquire a patent for the name “Supreme” or product sales and market authorizations in China. IBF swept in and acquired the right access to sell throughout the Asia Pacific region, excluding Japan.
