With the Adapt BB being one of the primary new silhouettes to push sneaker culture into a self-lacing future, Nike is investing heavily into the upcoming colorways. To start things off, the latest iteration offers a completely meta spin with a colorway that pays homage to the OG auto-lacing Air MAG from Back to the Future II.

While the MAGs were unfortunately fictional for decades until it got a few extremely rare releases in real life, the Adapt BB is on the general market and expected to truly change the game for ballers and the casual sneakerheads out there. Revealed earlier today on IG by WNBA Las Vegas Aces player A’ja Wilson (seen above), the new hue is a true-to-form remake of the shoe Michael J. Fox rocked effortlessly in the classic sci-fi flick. From the “Wolf Grey” upper down to the icy blue sole, all is in place to perfectly blend our past and present all on one silhouette. Let’s hope the Swoosh continues this creative spin when it comes to dropping the Adapt BB. In other words, keep ’em coming!

This Air MAG-inspired Nike Adapt BB goes on sale beginning May 29, retailing for $350 USD. More pics below:
