D-Roc Re-releases Club Banger “Bankhead Bounce”

When you hear the name D-Roc, you probably refer back to your favorite Ying Yang Twins track. These brothers are considered some of the kings of Atlanta Hip-Hop, after all. Before there was Ying Yang, D-Roc started his career as a solo artist. Think back to 1995 when he released the original version of “Bankhead Bounce”- he had everyone keeping this song on rotation. This year, he’s back with a new and improved version of the hit record. It’s safe to say the fans are loving it.

When “Bankhead Bounce” was originally released, D-Roc was ecstatic to see how it resonated in the industry. The song was an instant hit- everything down to the beat and production quality had people turning up to it in the clubs. “I was a teenager when the song came out. Everything happened so fast, and I really had to grow up and mature through it all. You’re not a child anymore once you start pursuing a career in music,” said D-Roc. Fast forward almost 25 years later, the artist made a lasting impression in the industry, which makes the recent re-release of “Bankhead Bounce” so symbolic.

If you haven’t heard the song yet, you’ll want to by the end of this article. The single still holds its power as an instant club banger, to say the least. And while he’s still actively the other half of Ying Yang Twins, he’s looking forward to the fans getting to know a different side of D-Roc. “In my next singles, you’ll definitely hear the Ying Yang come through. My brother is on my next one called ‘Let Me See It’. It’s my vision of everything- it’s my hook, it’s my entire creation,” said the artist. Fans can expect these to release in the coming months.

So, where is D-Roc at right now? The Ying Yang Twins are currently on tour throughout the U.S. as a part of the “Millennium Tour”. While that’s keeping him busy, he’s also focused on all of his upcoming projects with 2Lit Records. Through all of the anticipation and excitement, he always remembers the fans and how they’ve played an integral role in his success. “Without y’all, there wouldn’t be any D-Roc. Keep me motivated and I’ll keep y’all motivated.”
