It’s been a long time since we have seen him doing his thing but Aziz Ansari is making a comeback. He’s returning to Netflix with a new stand-up special, four years after his last special streamed on the streaming service. The new special, titled Aziz Ansari: Right Now, is set to drop July 9. Ansari confirmed his comeback on Twitter.

Ansari recently took mad time off from both his TV and film work over the last few because of the sexual misconduct allegations made against him in back in January of 2018.
The alleged incident first came from an article on www.Babe.net and social media was on fire about the latest celebrity to be put on the blast by the #metoo movement. The article gave a detailed the account of a woman who went on a date with Ansari but felt like he kept coming at her with sexual advances even though she was trying to give him signs that she wasn’t with it.
Ansari finally addressed the allegations of sexual misconduct during one of his pop-up shows in February of this year. During the performance, the comic said he needed time to think through what he wanted to say to the crowd because the incident was “a terrifying thing to talk about.”
There were times I felt really upset and humiliated and embarrassed, and ultimately I just felt terrible this person felt this way,” he said during the show. “But you know, after a year, how I feel about it is, I hope it was a step forward. It made me think about a lot, and I hope I’ve become a better person.”
Although Aziz is coming back to the stage, there is no word if “Master of None” will be coming back for another season.
