There’s something special and pure about the Feed The Family Records’ debut star, FTF Insane. He has a very genuine vibe about him. Upon first interaction he may come across as stand-offish and armored but he has his reasons. The budding musician says he is an example of someone who really got it out of the mud and this is no exaggeration. “I really came from the bottom,” he explains looking down at the table in front of us as to avoid eye contact. Perhaps hes uncomfortable or this is a way to conceal his pain. Pain is something that Insane has been very familiar with. As a young teen, he was already living like an adult. Like an orphan with nowhere to go or call home, Insane, couch surfed and went from home to home. “I stayed with whoever could take me in,” he shares. “My friend’s mommas took me in sometimes. I had to learn a lot on my own and it shaped me into becoming the person I am. I’m appreciative because I know what its like to not have anything or anybody.” Insane’s struggles shaped his undeniable work ethic and his consistency has given birth to his new EP. “I worked really hard on this. I’m so appreciate of the love I receive from my team and fans, I’m leaving the album name in the hands of my fans. They’ve been so much of a part of my journey that I wanted to include them,” said FTF Insane. Insane sites Future, Casino and Nipsey Hussle as his influences. “I only connect to the real and those are the artists I look up to.” When asked what songs stand out to him on the EP he pauses and then lists a few. “Can’t fall in love,” Guitars,” and “Pain of course.” But he mentions he’s in a new space and all the pain is behind him. FTF Insane is definitely going “Way Up.” Follow him on instagram @FTF_Insane
