SOURCE SPORTS: Criminal Charges Against DeMarcus Cousins Dropped

The third-degree harassing communications charges against Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has been dropped and a misdemeanor case against him has been dismissed.

Cousins’ attorney Moshae Donald detailed the dismissal of the charges to ESPN on Friday.

Back in August, a warrant was issued for Cousins’ arrest in Mobile, Alabama. The mother of his 7-year-old, Christy West, stated Cousins threaded to shoot her after an argument, which TMZ would release the audio of the two.

While Cousins has sidestepped criminal issues, he may still face a fine or suspension from the NBA as a violation of the league’s domestic violence policy.
