SOURCE SPORTS: Zach Lavine Drops 49 Points in Win Over Charlotte

Zach Lavine went crazy at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Saturday in the Chicago Bulls 116-115 win over the Hornets. Lavine scored 49 points and hit a career-high 13 3-pointers including the game-winner.

Despite the Bulls’ struggles overall, Lavine has been having a great season and Saturday’s game exemplified that. In his 34 minutes on the floor, Lavine shot 17-28 from the field and 13-17 from 3 point range.

In the final seconds of play, the Bulls were down 110-115 before a clutch Tomas Satoransky 3 ball cut the deficit 2points. Rookie Coby White came up with the steal after the inbound and dished to Lavine who hit the corner 3 for the win leaving only .8 seconds on the clock.

“Once I shot it, I knew it was cash. That was the craziest game I’ve been a part of,” Lavine said according to the Bulls Twitter. Lavine is averaging 21 points a game on 43 percent shooting throughout 17 games this year.
