The whole of Hip-Hop has sat with a broken heart of the last week, as we learned of a recent and tragic loss of one of rap music’s princes. Dipset General, Cam’ron lost his girlfriend Tawasa Harris and has revealed to the public that she was the “Love” of his “Life.”

On an Instagram post, he gave remarks about her death and what it meant to him. #heartbreaking
Also calling her his best friend, he wrote about planning the holidays with her and spending the nights with her, talking on the phone with her (so much that he would fall asleep) and his need to keep his relationship with her private. He also criticized the media, of which this outlet is included, for publishing information that was not completely researched.
As previously reported, Harris’ death was made public by a friend/cousin Latanya Marie, on Facebook. Marie posted pics of Harris, fly and dipped like she was known to roll.
Before culminating his post, he expressed his condolences to her entire family. Noting a special expression of sympathy to her three kids, mother, brother, and Logan, noting that Harris loved them “unconditionally.”
Cam in true Harlem hustle punctuated the note with this quote, “Time for me to get out and get back to it. I know that’s what she would want…”
