Russ recently stated who his favorite rapper is right now and he gave more detail on why for the Rap Radar Podcast. Russ sat down with Elliott Wilson and B. Dot in Los Angeles on Monday and Russ explains why Benny the Butcher is his favorite rapper.
“He’s f*cking hard, his rapping is insane. His lines are insane, his delivery is insane. You can tell he’s real,” he told the interviewing duo. “I just love that shit. He can rap his ass off.” Russ praised The Butcher for hardly having melodies in his songs and just giving fans bars.
The Wolf rapper explains that he doesn’t like having features because sometimes he can get a verse back that he doesn’t like, but that’s not the case with Benny The Butcher who Russ feels is a reliable feature on any song. Benny The Butcher will be featured on Russ’ new album Shake The Snow Globe dropping January 31.
