Bronny James wanted to mirror his father in his performance in Friday’s game against his father’s Alma Mater St. Vincent-St. Mary. Bronny won the game’s Most Valuable Player trophy after a 15 point performance off the bench. Bronny scored the go-ahead bucket with 50 seconds left in the game giving Sierra Canyon a 59-56 win. Bronny and Sierra Canyon are now 8-0 on the season.
LeBron James was sideline at the game cheering his oldest son on during the game. In the go-ahead basket, Bronny blew past defenders and hit a finger roll layup. LeBron was caught on the sideline jumping up and down needing to be held back by a referee so he didn’t end up on the court.
The 6’2 freshman in high school is showing great promise as a hoops star and one D1 university has already made an offer. According to 247 sports, the University of Kentucky has already offered Bronny a scholarship to play with the Wildcats in 2023.
