Terence Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) proved again why he is one of the best fighters on the planet, stopping Lithuanian puncher Egidijus Kavaliauskas (21-1-1, 17 KOs) by ninth-round TKO.

Crawford dropped Kavaliauskas in the 7th with a series of hard shots. Two rounds later, Crawford knocked Kavaliauskas down x 2. The fight was then halted. The time of the stoppage was at 0:44 of round 9.

“The round before that, my coaches kept telling me stop loading up. I was loading up a lot because the first couple clean shots I landed, I knew I hurt him. I wanted to give the crowd a knockout. When I started letting my hands go, I started landing more fatal shots.”

Fans will hope to see Crawford face one of the big-name PBC guys next year — Errol Spence Jr would be the golden ticket, but fights with Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman, or Danny Garcia would also be nice

“I’ll fight anybody. I’ve been saying that for I don’t know how long,” Crawford said. “I’m not ducking anyone on the PBC side or Top Rank platform.”
