December 25th is getting closer and closer! Closer to a cup of eggnog, ugly sweater parties, decorations around the house, and taking a family picture with Santa Claus. However, some parents find it difficult to take their children to a Santa Claus that looks like them.

If you’re in the Christmas spirit and want to go out and celebrate the holiday with your children, Texas mom Jihan Woods has created an app that helps parents locate a Black Santa in their area.

CBS News reports that Woods began a campaign to help her fund the app. She was able to raise $5,000 in about 30 days. The app is titled “Find Black Santa,” and it lists Black Santa’s that are available in 35 states and Washington D.C.

“After several years of trying to find a Santa that was relatable that my children could identify with, I realized that kind of all over the U.S., but specifically in Dallas, I wasn’t able to find a Santa that represented our family,” Woods told the media outlet.

Since the creation of the app, organizations have reached out to Woods to spread awareness on their Black Santas and get listed on the app for upcoming events.
