The podcast will be hosted by Angie Martinez, is eight episodes long and is a joint venture between Complex and Spotify.
The story of 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, will be told in chronological order from the drop of his first song and while he was a deli counter employee in Bushwick. The documentary will premiere on January 28, well after we know the fate of the viral sensation.
“Tekashi has a polarizing personality and his story has taken us on a roller coaster ride like nothing we’ve ever seen in hip-hop,” Martinez said in a statement. “So, when Complex reached out with this project, I was excited about the opportunity to help tell this story.”
