Today is the big day for Tekashi 6ix9ine. Wednesday (Dec. 18) he will be getting his sentencing after his cooperation with authorities following his racketeering case. As we the public, await the release of the New York rapper, The Breakfast Club is trying to decide if they would like to interview the rapper on their highly respected morning show.

At a point in their show, DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God disclosed why they would rather avoid the potential controversy that would surround interviewing Tekashi, real name Danel Hernandez.

“It doesn’t seem like there has been any accountability. Ok? On His part. It would be irresponsible of us, to empower that dysfunction.”

“I feel like he used his gang affiliation to benefit himself. First, he came out, he was allegedly a Crip, then he was allegedly a Blood, and he was talking crazy online for clout and for people to stream his music and it worked.” said Envy. “When that backfired, then you decided to tell on everyone that you was just riding on. All those hits that you allegedly did, that didn’t work for you. So what do you do, you turn on everybody? You get released and you’re rewarded for it? I just don’t necessarily think it’s a message that I wanna do.”

Angela Yee played devil’s advocate amongst the two as she asked her co-host, “What about if there is a story of redemption here? What about if there is a lesson to be learned for people? We don’t know what it is yet.”

The morning show then gave viewers the opportunity to call in and express their mixed opinions behind the “FeFe” rapper getting an interview after his release.

Viewers also called into question Charlamagne on his comments made earlier during the week stating that if the rapper gets out he will give him oral sex. “If Tekashi 6ix9ine beats this case, I will suck his d**k and he doesn’t even have to ask me,” he told The Brilliant Idiots podcast.

As fingers point towards the rapper actually getting released, Chalagmange tells viewers of the show that he is not really going to go forward with his statement despite what he said. Charlemagne seems to have a real case of “Speaking too soon.”

6ix9ine’s previous interviews with the morning show were very successful as the views reached over 30 million on Youtube.

“I want Daniel Hernandez to do some soul searching before he gets back into the character of 6ix9ine, and before he does that, I don’t think I want any parts.”

However, it seems as though the hosts still chose to decline the interview due to the “potential message it may send out.”
