Kamala Harris made memorable moments during the Presidential debates, but that wasn’t enough for her to breakthrough in the polls.
The California Senator is expected to announce the end of her Democratic Presidential campaign, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
The campaign official who spilled the tea to THR asked to remain anonymous, but Harris is expected to release a video momentarily.
Although Kamala Harris hasn’t confirmed the news herself, her husband, Douglas Emhoff, posted a sweet photo of him embracing her. “I’ve got you. As always,” the caption read.
Her niece, Meena Harris, also tweeted a picture of them laughing with the caption, “I’m so proud of you. I love you.”
In addition, Harris canceled a big fundraiser in New York City that was scheduled today last minute due to “personal matters” and didn’t hint at the possibility of rescheduling.
Ryan Grim concluded that Kamala wanted to head out before she appeared on California’s presidential primary ballot. “Harris only had a few days to get out before her name would appear on the California ballot, which gets mailed to voters in early February. Getting crushed in California would have been devastating, and set her up for a challenge in 2022 for her reelection,” he tweeted.
