According to a breaking report from TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney is going to announce the indictment involving several women and their assaults around L.A. and Beverly Hills. This is happening simultaneously with his NYC sexual assault case trial, which began today.
According to the report, Weinstein will be hit with four charges in this indictment; forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by use of force and sexual battery by restraints.
The District Attorney investigated the claims of eight women; four in L.A. and the remaining four in Beverly Hills. If convicted, Weinstein could face up to 28 years aside from the potential prison time he’s facing for his similar crimes in New York.
Prosecutors are seeking a substantial $5 million bail.
