DaBaby seemed to be starting the new year 2020 right! Up until recently, it seemed as though the North Carolina native ran into a roadblock in his road to success. Although DaBaby’s direct involvement was confirmed by authorities, DaBaby was arrested in Miami following a video released to the public that involved a violent incident with a promoter and several men. It is reported that DaBaby allegedly punched the promoter and stole $80, a credit card, and an iPhone 7 after the promoter left DaBaby short out of $10K for a performance. Following the video surfacing on the Internet, DaBaby was arrested on robbery charges.

Recently, the rapper took to Instagram with a public service announcement regarding the “weak ass 48 hours” he spent in jail. “Please stop talking to me about that weak ass 48 hours I spent in jail and that failed attempt to break my spirits & interrupt the path I’m taking to my God given success.” “Don’t allow yourself to be [misled] by janky promoters and lazy ass grown men itching for the opportunity to file a lawsuit that they won’t win. I remain composed and focused knowing allegations made without honesty and integrity will never be honored by the most high. Please be reminded that suck ass situations like these aren’t worthy of your time or attention,” he finished. Since the controversy, DaBaby has shown fans that he went right back to the studio to continue his 2020 takeover. DaBaby adds a new flare to “Minor setback for a major comeback.”
