CNN reports that many are waking up to the devastating news that Puerto Rico has been hit with 6.4 magnitude earthquake early Tuesday morning. Monday, Jan. 6th, the small island was hit with a 5.8 magnitude earthquake. Pray for Puerto Rico.

This natural disaster leaves the U.S. territory rocked after only a few years recovered from Hurrican Maria that devasted the island.

According to the United States Geological Service earthquake map, the 6.4 quake hit at 3:24 a.m. local time about 10 kilometers south of Indios, Puerto Rico. Luckily, despite the activity, there is no threat of a tsunami.

Many are concerned as Puerto Rico lies between two fault lines and has experienced a few earthquakes since the end of 2019 (Dec. 28) ranging in magnitude from 4.7 to Sunday’s 5.8.
