No person shot to the stars as fast and strong in 2019 as Lil Nas X. The “Old Town Road” rap and country star hit Instagram on Wednesday (Jan. 8) to share two videos showing just how far he has come in a year.
The first video is a before fame Nas X sitting in his room eating pizza and going over his statistics, noting that he only had 3,000 Instagram followers. “I’ma hit y’all back a year from now and we’ll see where I’m at,” he says in the video recorded in January of 2019.
Now, in January 2020, he returns on the same date, again with pizza but icy in all white with fur and matching sunglasses.
In the recently announced 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards Lil Nas X received six nominations. He is also up for a host of Grammy Awards at the upcoming 2020 ceremony.
