Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap just went platinum.

Following his untimely passing Nipsey’s sales and streams have drastically increased. His sales jumped from 1,000 to 14,000 in one week and his video streams went from 900,000 to 9.7 million the day he passed.

The fast rising rap star was making ground-breaking progress in the community when he was killed outside his Marathon Clothing store in his hometown of Los Angeles. The industry mourned his death as his music spoke to his generation encouraging growth, ownership and peace.  

Since its release in February “Victory Lap” has sold 328,000 units based on sales and streams. It debuted at No.4 on the Billboard’s 200 album charts. The album which has been deemed a classic features collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, CeeLo Green, YG and more. The album went on to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Album and Hussle’s legacy continues to influence the world.
