Akon has finalized the agreement of getting his own city in Senegal. He announced the development in a post on his Instagram post and is looking forward to hosting his fans in the future. Even though it was a short sentence, it gets us excited and prepared for the city!
In the future, Akon will be building a village. The agreement with the tourism company SAPCO, according to a separate Jakarta Post report, is a “memorandum of understanding.”
Akon is of Senegalese descent and according to CNN, he is building on 2,000-acre land that was gifted to him by the president of Senegal, Macky Sall. The city will trade the exclusive digital cash currency called Akoin.
“I really want to make the biggest impact in Africa for sure,” Akon said during a 2013 interview with CNN. “If I could have my way, Africa would be the United States of Africa.”
