The Los Angeles Lakers had the night off after their game against the Los Angeles Clippers was postponed. Instead of taking the court, the team and coaches met at the practice facility in El Segundo, California for a light workout and shootaround, which led to a luncheon and spur of the moment story session, ESPN reports.
Stories from inside that room included LeBron James detailing the 2008 Olympics run and how Bryant’s friend and teammate Pau Gasol was even an enemy on the hardwood. “Oh, wow, you’re going to have to play with this guy next season …,” the reaction of James was percieved.
The Lakers will practice again on Wednesday before they take the court on Friday at Staples Center against the Portland Trailblazers.
