A 19-year-old was pronounced dead after jumping to his death from the Vessel sculpture in Hudson Yard.
The tragedy began somewhere around 6 pm and is the first suicide at the landmark since its opening in March
A witness told The New York Post that officials asked everyone to leave the structure, and “everybody was really quiet walking down the steps,” she said.

“Some people had tears in their eyes. My daughter and I went over to the side and said a prayer for him.”
At this time the victim’s identity has not been released.
