Just before the New Year, the rapper announced that she would be retiring from rapping. Since her announcement, Minaj has been featured on a few tracks including her latest verse on Megan Trainor’s “Nice To Meet Ya.”

Minaj shared a snippet of her upcoming single, “Yikes” while in the studio, but there’s one line that has people talking.  “All you b*tches Rosa Parks, uh-oh, get your ass up,” she penned. Considering the fact that its Rosa Parks’ birthday and Black History Month, some of Hip-Hop fans are not feeling the bar.

“Everyone shocked about Nicki’s Rosa parks line like she’s not the same person that said ‘like MJ doctor, they killing me,'” one fan tweeted.

“No tf she didn’t say ‘all you b*tches Rosa parks, go get ya a*s up’ Nicki! during black history month!?” another fan tweeted.

This is not the first time the rapper would be under fire for using a civil rights activist to her advantage. Back in 2014, Malcolm X’s daughter,  Ilyasah Shabazz called Nicki out for being “disrespectful” after Nicki used a photo of the civil rights leader, holding a gun as covert art for her single, “Looking A*s Nigga.”

“Ms. Minaj’s artwork for her single does not depict the truth of Malcolm X’s legacy, is completely disrespectful, and in no way is endorsed by my family,” Shabazz stated.

It wouldn’t be Nicki if she didn’t have a bar in her rhymes to get people talking. What do you think of the line?
