The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has announced sportswriter and commentator Michael Wilbon and iconic NBA play-by-play commentator Mike Breen are the 2020 Curt Gowdy Media Award recipients.

The Award is named in honor of legendary sports broadcaster and former Hall of Fame Board member and President Curt Gowdy. The award honors members of the press who have made a significant contribution to the game of basketball.

Wilbon is celebrated for his coverage of college and professional ranks of basketball since 1980, including covering the NBA Finals, Final Four, appearing on ESPN shows like Pardon The Interruption and more.

Breen has called the action of NBA Games for 28 seasons, beginning with the New York Knicks where he is a fixture to this day, along with joining ESPN’s NBA team where he has broadcasted for 12 seasons.
