NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago was the latest city for Martell HOME, an event experience hosted by Martell & BET. The space featured a special performance from Martell ambassador Quavo on Saturday night.
Inside HOME was specialty Martell cocktails along with live podcasts hosted by Sarunas Jackson and Nick Young, as well as Kenyon Martin & Nick Storm. In addition, Grits & Biscuits hosted their own party in coordination with the Martell brand.
Before hitting the stage, Quavo detailed his NBA All-Star experiences and why Martell HOME is the place to be whenever it is around you.
You were in the Celebrity Game for the 3rd time, what keeps bringing you back to this NBA All-Star event?
Quavo: Basketball has always been one of my favorite sports, so anytime I can play in a big game like the celebrity game during All-Star weekend, I’m going to take advantage of it and ball out.
You won the MVP in 2018, put up a solid showing in 2019. Were you gunning for it this year?
I’m most definitely trying to get the MVP trophy. Of course, I’m going to play hard and try to get my teammates going, but I’m aiming to put up big numbers, as well.
Who have you been on the Celebrity Game court with and been surprised by their skills?
Justin Bieber!
In addition to the game, you took part of the Martell x BET HOME experience. What makes a Martell party the one to be at over everything else going on during All-Star weekend?
If you’re looking to have a good time, then the Martell x BET HOME is where it’s at. Martell’s had everything going on during All-Star Weekend and I hit that stage. It’s all about drinking Blue and celebrating with friends and athletes.
What makes this partnership with Martell prove to be the best situation for your career?
I’ve partnered with Martell because we’re both leaders in our fields. We’re innovators. Martell is all about making a statement and pushing boundaries.
Beyond the celebrity game and working alongside Martell, what were you looking forward to the most during the Chicago All-Star weekend?
Having fun and celebrating with my fellow athletes.
