Everyone in the Hip Hop community has displayed a myriad of mixed emotions about the killing of 20-year-old Brooklyn rap star Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson in Hollywood Hills yesterday.
ATL legend Young Jeezy took to IG to express his disgust towards the senseless killing in the Black community in general and the Hip Hop community in particular.
“At the end of the day, we all kings. We ain’t in the jungle. You ain’t gotta kill your brother to eat. Them days should be long behind us.,” Jeezy said in his southern, matter of fact tone.
Smoke was killed after several masked gunmen raided the home he was renting in Hollywood Hills, California and gunned him down early Wednesday. There are no suspects in the shooting, however, video surveillance has shown that someone from Smoke’s camp opened the door for the masked men before the murder occurred.
